Post-operative care for Gummy Smile Surgery

  • You will be given pain relief and oral antibiotics.
  • I ask patients to be on liquids for 24 hours and then they can return to a normal diet.
  • If you can rinse your mouth after eating.
  • Sutures are dissolving but I prefer to remove them at about 7 days.
  • The discomfort in the first few days is very tolerable.
